KOKOSING GAP TRAIL
This 14 mile paved bicycle trail in Knox County extends from Mt. Vernon to Danville Ohio with the western 2/3rds of the trail resealed in 2005. The bike trail is on a former Conrail rail road bed. Long bridges, wooded areas, and wetlands add interest to this trail. Within Mt. Vernon, The park at the east end of the trail is off Mount Vernon Ave. One can go south on Mt. Vernon Ave. from S.R. 229, or east on Mt. Vernon Ave. from S.R. 586 near the S.R. 13 intersection.
