Ohio Hiking Trails: Hocking Hills State Park
Of Ohio Hiking trails, Hocking Hills State Park has some of the highest volume of beautiful geological features per mile within it's gorge hiking trails. Gorge hiking trails of Ash Cave and Conkle's Hollow are handicap wheel chair accessible.
The Hocking Hills Park Welcome Center compares Ohio hiking trails within a wall plaque listing Hocking Hills as "the most exciting trails in the state".
Links to the left are photographic tours of these gorge trails which make up the Hocking Hills State Park system. Each area of these Ohio hiking trails has it's own name as listed to the left with most areas located within 10 miles of the other.
The single most "exciting" 2-3 hour walk (one direction) within Ohio Hocking Hills State Park, is the stream side "Buckeye Trail" within the gorge from Cedar Falls to Old Man's cave. These hiking trails extend under a canopy of trees along fallen boulders, cliff walls, caves, and waterfalls.
