Bloody Bridge involved two canal boat workers, Bill Jones and Jack Billings along with their sweet heart Minnie Warren. History tells a story of jealousy, hatred, violence, and possibly a little back street justice.
Notice that this bridge is reconstructed on top of the original base of lime stone from the canal era bridges. Such bases extend down to bedrock proving very stable over the years.
